Notification process for customers:

Order Confirmation:
- When an order is placed, the customer receives an order confirmation email from Shopify.

Tracking ID Assignment:
- Once your warehouse or 3PL fulfills the order, the package is assigned a Passport Tracking ID.
- The customer will receive an email from Shopify with the tracking ID that they can use to search for their Passport tracking page here.
Opting in for shipping updates

Tracking Page Subscription:
- Within the tracking page, the customer has the option to opt-in/subscribe to shipping updates by entering their email into the 'Shipping updates via email' section on their tracking page.
- The customer will receive automatic email updates throughout the package journey by subscribing.
Types of Notifications
- Customers who subscribe to updates will receive email notifications about:
- Package location updates
- Availability for pickup
- Status changes, such as "returned to sender" or customs delays
Compliance with Regulations
- Due to GDPR and the CAN-SPAM Act regulations, customers must opt-in to receive email notifications.
- We will not send notifications unless the customer has opted in.
